Fri, Sat, Sun.

This past weekend was a lot of fun. Friday night John and I went to marriage counseling with my cousins Kyle and Charity. It was really good to talk with them and discuss things that we probably wouldn't normally. It was an added bonus to be able to play with Noah a little bit. He has such a personality and is a lot of fun. He kept pointing to me and John and was trying to say John's name, which came out more like 'on.' It was very cute.

On Saturday I had to work in the morning and missed the parade but I had a really great time that evening. John picked me up from work and then we ate dinner with my family. John and I also helped Lori dip strawberries in chocolate which was fun and delicious! That night we went to the fireworks and Seth and Sarah brought Peter along. He was so fascinated with the lights that the loud booms didn't even scare him.

On Sunday after church we ate taco's at mom and dad's and they were fabulous as always. Then we watched a bit of Enchanted. Later John grilled some bratwurst and I cooked some zucchini and summer squash and we ate dinner with Ej and Bridget. We also rented Semi-Pro starring Will Ferrell...SO FUNNY! That movie was hilarious!

Update: We didn't close on our house yet but we should on Thursday...I hope.

Birthday

Alright, it's past midnight so technically I'm a day late but...HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROLYN! I just didn't have any time today to sit down and write this short message, sorry. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your birthday today.

Missing Alabama

I finally graduated! I arrived in Alabama and called my mom who told me that I had gotten my diploma in the mail. It was pretty much one of the best days of my life...well that's a little dramatic but it was great!

I'm still missing Alabama, a lot. I miss being able to walk outside and have people sitting around and talking. I miss the nice breeze, the sun and the water. I even miss running away from Chloe who was always trying to bite my shoes. Getting back to work was pretty hard and it's hard to stay focused. I'm constantly reminded of what I left behind when I came home. I reach to play with my ring but it's not there and then I think of Hannah. I think John said it best when he said that he feels homesick even though he's at home. As the days drag on it does get easier but I've never felt so at home at a place that wasn't in G-Raps. Well, I guess that's all for now. I'm just really missing some of the greatest and funniest people I've ever known. Love ya'll.

Person of the Day: Hannah - for being able to make me smile even though she's thousands of miles away. Thanks little sis.
